Ingredients

Each 5 mL dose contains: Iron (as ferrous gluconate dihydrate) 3.75 mg, Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) 300 nanograms, Pyridoxine hydrochloride 245 micrograms equiv. pyridoxine (vitamin B6) 200 micrograms, Riboflavin sodium phosphate 590 micrograms equiv. riboflavin (vitamin B2) 430 micrograms, Thiamine hydrochloride 528 micrograms equiv. thiamine (vitamin B1) 400 micrograms, Carum carvi (caraway) fruit infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry fruit 8.75 mg, Daucus carota (carrot) root infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry root 17.5 mg, Elymus repens (couch grass) rhizome infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry rhizome 9.85 mg, Hibiscus sabdariffa (African mallow blossom) flower infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry flower 6.6 mg, Macrocystis pyrifera (ocean kelp) whole plant infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry whole plant 6.6 mg, Spinacia oleracea (spinach) leaf infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry leaf 12.5 mg, Urtica dioica (stinging nettle) leaf infusion 2.96 g equiv. to dry leaf 14.7 mg. Floradix Liquid Iron Plus also contains juice concentrates (beetroot, blackberry, black currant, cherry, grape, pear, orange and rosa canina), ascorbic acid, honey, maltodextrin, purified water, triticum aestivum (wheat germ powder), yeast autolysate and orange flavour.

Dosage

Shake the bottle well before use. Use the measuring cup provided.

Age Group Dose Frequency
Children 1 to 5 years of age 5 mL 5 mL dose once per day, 30 minutes before a meal.
Children 6 to 12 years of age 5 mL 5 mL dose two to three times per day, 30 minutes before a meal.
Adults and children over 12 years of age 10 mL 10 mL dose two times per day, 30 minutes before morning and evening meals.

Not suitable for infants under the age of twelve months.

Refrigerate after opening. Use within 4 weeks of opening. Do not drink directly from the bottle.

Q. Is Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

A. Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus is suitable for vegetarians but not vegans as it contains honey. However, Floradix® Floravital® Liquid Iron Plus does not contain honey and is therefore vegan friendly.

Q. Does Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus contain gluten?

A. Yes, Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus contains gluten. 

Q. Should I inform my health professional if I am taking Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus?

A. Yes, we recommend discussing any supplements you are taking with your health professional, particularly if you are on any prescription medicines.

Q. Can I mix Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus with juice or water, will this affect the efficacy of the product?

A. It is ok to mix Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus with juice or water just prior to taking your dose. It will not affect the efficacy of the product.

Q. When should I take Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus?

A. We recommend taking Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus 30 minutes prior to eating food or drinking caffeine to maximise absorption.

Q. Does Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus contain sugar?

A. Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus contains sugars due to the presence of honey and fruit juices.

Q. Why do I need to keep Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus in the fridge?

A. Our products do not contain alcohol or preservatives and should therefore be kept in the refrigerator after use to maintain their quality. Discard any remaining liquid 4 weeks after opening.

Q. Can I take Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus at the same time as other supplements?

A. Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus should be taken at a separate time to other supplements as the iron absorption may be reduced by other products.

Q. Can I drink tea or coffee at the same time as taking Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus?

A. Black tea and coffee contain caffeine which can reduce the absorption of the iron, thus reducing the efficacy of the product. We recommend to take Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus one hour before or two hours after having a caffeinated beverage. However, caffeine-free drinks including some herbal teas can be taken at the same time as Floradix® Liquid Iron Plus.
